Is there a really good case available for a Kindle?

So I got a kindle for my birthday, but the screen broke after a few months. I have yet to receive the verdict on whether or not this was my fault (I haven’t sent it back yet). However, I received my new one in the mail today. I read several stories online on how fragile the kindle’s screen is. Just in case I somehow damaged the last one, is there any protective case I can buy that will really protect my kindle from any damage? I want to be able to take it to school in my backpack without it breaking, and I guess the soft, standard kindle cover really doesn’t do much.
