It’s not a secret that today a lot of people all over the world have access to the Internet and use it almost everyday for different purposes. Some people use it for work: they establish relations with their prospective business partners from other countries or do a part-time job, for example as a freelancer. Many people prefer to use the Internet instead of letters and telephone calls because it’s cheaper and faster; for these people the Internet is a means of communication with friends and relatives who live far from them. A lot of people consider that the Internet is the most reliable and convenient way of receiving international news, because one can choose what news he or she wants to know. But for some people the Internet is just a means of entertainment.
My younger brother, who is 16 years old, spends all his free time on the Internet, and it seems to me that in majority of cases he spends it without any particular purpose. He communicates with his friends who live not far from our place on ICQ and Skype instead of going out with them and chat live.
Everyday he downloads various programs for his computer, films, numerous clips and strange music. When he notices that someone else uses his computer he becomes very angry.
My brother spends almost all his spare time online. Frankly speaking I can not imagine what he can do online day and night. If I use the Internet I usually check my e-mail, find what I need through a search engine, then I look through the sites it managed to find for me. That’s all. I can not understand what else I can do on the Internet.
Several days ago when I entered his room he was talking to someone on his cell phone, looking through mainly funny videos and chatting with a friend on ICQ at the same time. I personally prefer to devote all my attention to one thing. Though I’m older my brother only for 7 years and I can not say that we belong to different generations, I can not understand modern teenagers. I like the Internet because it facilitates my life, but one should be careful with it in order not to become Internet addicted.
where can I get an internet job for teens ?
I want to work but i dont want to leave house I need an internet job
When you figure this out I wanna know too. I want a job without leaving the house too. And I’m not even a teenager.
